Waukegan Road Resurfacing
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is overseeing construction on Waukegan Road from Emerson Street to Golf Road in Morton Grove, with the project continuing north into Glenview to Henley Street. Drivers should expect increased construction activity and traffic impacts in the coming days. Please avoid the area if possible or allow extra time when traveling through the construction zone.
The contractor is scheduled to place the first layer of asphalt between Emerson Street and Golf Road on Saturday, October 10, and Monday, October 12. After October 12, paving will move north into Glenview, but work will continue in Morton Grove. Remaining work includes adjusting utility structures to their final height, placing the final layer of asphalt, and installing pavement markings.
