The Illinois Department of Transportation has begun removing the asphalt surface on Waukegan Road between Henley Street in Glenview and Emerson Street in Morton Grove. This work will require intermittent daytime lane closures while this work is in progress and is expected to last through next week.
Access to side streets and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.
The public can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Alternate routes are encouraged. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
The Illinois Department of Transportation and their contractor are responsible for all aspects of this improvement. You may contact the Village of Morton Grove Department of Public Works at 847-470-5235 for any questions about the work proposed in the Village of Morton Grove.

This male kitty was found today at Beckwith Rd. / Oak Park Ave. No collar, tags, or microchip.
If you have any information about the owner or where this kitty lives, please let the Morton Grove Police Department know. The owner must show proof of ownership and rabies vaccination.
