The Village of Morton Grove Public Works Department offers leaf collection services each year from October 19th through December 4th, exact dates may vary. Collection is weather permitting and as needed, depending on the leaf drop.
The leaf collection is for leaf pick-up only. All other landscape materials, including grass clippings, bushes and shrub trimmings, tree branches, garden materials, pumpkins, hay or straw, wood, rocks, dirt, flowers or any other landscaping debris will NOT be picked up. If prohibited materials are found in a leaf pile, the pile will not be collected. Please bag the excluded landscape materials for pickup by Groot through the landscape waste collection (fees may apply). These materials cause damage to the equipment used during the leaf collection process. Violators will receive a door tag informing them that they had prohibited materials in their leaf pile. Continued violations may result in fines of up to $750.00.

Illegal Disposal of Landscape Waste:
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to dispose of any landscape waste upon any public or private property within the Village, no person shall dispose of landscape waste on any private property not owned or occupied by that person.
In the event of expected snowfall, please keep leaves on the parkway until snowplow operations are complete. Leaves placed out after the end of the Village leaf collection season must be bagged for pickup by Groot through their landscape waste collection program.
