Citizens Police & Fire Academy

The Citizens Police & Fire Academy is a free, 12-week program for Morton Grove residents that offers an inside look at the work of the Police and Fire Departments. Through one two-hour class each week, participants gain a better understanding of law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services (EMS), and the day-to-day operations of the departments that serve our community.

Class size is limited to 20 participants to encourage discussion and hands-on learning. Registration for the current academy is now closed, and a waitlist has been established. Information and applications for Class 2027-01 will be available in January 2027.
